As a lead-up to the 2016 Election Nickelodeon launched Kids Pick The President as a cross platform initiative to bring kids up to speed about the upcoming election.
I was in charge of crafting the creative and editorial strategy and implementation on Kidspickthepresident.com. Managing our digital producers made a 3 month plan outlining different interactive games for kids to play while learning about the candidates, created digital videos with more info about each individual, meme makers and polls.
We worked in conjunction with on-air and social teams to drive awareness to and from the site to push kids to vote and play along all campaign long.
This iteration saw more votes than ever before with the kids picking Hilary Clinton as the president.
